About
“The body can heal itself, given the right releases, re-education, and re-balancing”
What makes Donna’s treatment unique is her eclectic use of techniques that blend traditional PT and non-traditional manual therapy. Physical Therapy is both a science and an art. Donna has spent the past 30 years continuing to develop and blend both these aspects into her work since receiving her Masters in Physical Therapy from Chapman University in 1993. She has been a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist since 1998, working with all types of injuries and clients of all ages.
Her continually expanding curriculum vitae includes over 90 extracurricular courses in multiple areas such as orthopedics, DNS, neural, cranial, visceral, and vascular mobilizations, lymphatic drainage and more. She also serves as a board member for Chapman University’s PT Alumni Association. She is also a contributing author for the textbook, Orthopedic Rehabilitation Clinical Advisor. She voraciously continues to advance her knowledge about the human body throughout each year. Donna is dedicated to sharing this knowledge with her clients, colleagues and community offering wellness classes and guest lectures throughout the year or upon request. Along with her colleague, Shelby Hensler, Donna teaches a series of unique classes about the body’s innate ability to heal itself called Recreating Space.
Donna considers herself blessed with a passion for both her work and her life as a busy wife and a mother of three children and many pets. Her love for the great outdoors has imparted her exciting experiences rock and ice climbing, hiking, running, mountaineering, skiing, mountain biking, and paddling. Participating in many other sports has also given her the ability to understand, embody and analyze the athletes’ biomechanics. She loves gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, reading, writing, and learning anything at all about the human body.
